The stars in the sky looked down where He lay

I love Thee Lord Jesus look down from the sky

And stay by my side 'til morning is nigh

Stood a lowly cattle shed

In a manger for His bed

Mary was that mother mild

Jesus Christ her little child

Lived on earth our Saviour holy
